I like Chinese food too but sometimes that chicken looks NOTHING like what I fix. I always said if I ever get the money to check it out I would take samples from the Chinese places I go to and have them analyzed by a lab.
That sad part. If it is something weird.....I like it.

Do Chinese Restaurants Serve Cat

2017-01-16 13:40:19 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

Chinese restaurants do not serve cats and dogs and claim them to be chicken. They DON'T serve cats and dogs period. I believe its just stereotyped by people and the society. Is like saying people in Africa don't put on deodorant which is not true. I was born in Nigeria and they do put deodorant on. And of course the entire African continent is not a jungle, there are skycrappers, beautiful buildings, good & bad roads, nice resorts and many more. Maybe oriented people eat cats and dogs which I am stereotyping but I don't believe they will serve it at restaurants. Different people with different cultures eat different kinds of food.

I can say that there is actually a chinese restaurant here in the city I live in that actually does use cats and pass it off as chicken although I think recently they've been caught and closed down. I never heard of them using Dogs though.

Chinese restaurants don't serve up dog and cat meat. It's just not practical.

It's a lot of extra work to hunt, kill, clean and butcher small animals when you can buy large volumes of cheap chicken that is already cleaned up and ready to cook with. And most Chinese places make their money on volume, which means you'd need a LOT of stray cats just to supply one night's meat.

Yes, some Chinese restaurants do use cats and dog meat in their cooking especially in china. Look it up on the internet, they really like Doberman pinchers as one of the main ingredients.

Yes, they do. One of the reasons is also because is cheaper to kill a dog, than to buy chicken.

Don't be impressed, but I have seen the kitchen of Chinese restaurants: cockroaches, bats, iguanas, cats, and dogs.

In Korea, dogs and cats are raised (as we raise cows) for eating. I have heard the same of China raising cats, though I'm not entirely sure of that one, though I do know that they eat Tiger in some parts of China. It would be completely unlawful to misrepresent content like that... but then again, Taco Bell employees have used other stuff for burritos!

If you would like to try cat, a favorite in Korea is called "Goyangi-tan" (liquid cat).
