This dish contains cold buckwheat noodles, cucumbers, and crab (or shrimp). It is tossed in a very light sauce. My question is, what is that sauce? and where can I find a recipe? I have been dying to make this dish! Thanks!

My wife and I love Chinese food, and we eat in Chinese restaurants a lot, but we can't find any Chinese cook-books that tell us how to make the common, ordinary items we find on the menus at the Chinese restaurants. I think if we could learn to make the sauces, we'd be on our way. For example, can anyone tell us how to make Mongolian Beef? Thanks!

I'm from Canada, but now live in the Philippines. I tryed a Balut, and it was nasty. It sort of tasted like an egg, but the thought of it just grossed me out. For those that wonder what a Balut is, it's a fertalized chicken egg that is boiled just a while before it hatches, so it's like half egg half chick. I had a 12 day and a 18 day old Balut. It was HORRIBLE especially when it has feathers..

What do they add in to make spinach soup taste sour, like sorrel?

I've tried to add some vinegar and lemon juice, but that just doesn't taste as good as it supposed to :-)

Hello, I live in Michigan and would like to purchase Oaxaca cheese. Unfortunately I cannot find it anywhere and would be willing to order it online, but I have only found 1 place that sells it and they want to charge 20 for a lb to ship it here. Please let me know if you know of any Mexican Grocers that would sell it. Also, I have seen a substitution available called Quesadilla cheese, is this the same product? Please help!

my fiance and I, who is tibetan, would like to buy a thermos like the type we use in asia. i've searched online but i can't seem to find what i'm looking for. i'm NOT looking for the small thermos flasks with screw-on lids that everyone carries around with tea in them. i'm looking for the large kind. they are the type they often have in restaurant in china full of hot water. tibetans fill them with boiled water, butter tea, or sweet tea prepared at the beginning of the day and its kept warm all day to drink. some have either plastic corks or regular cork corks. they are usually plastic or stainless steel (i think?) painted on the outside, and they are glass on the inside. does anyone know where i can purchase one and have it delivered to my house!? thanks!
