All of those can be made more or less spicy as the cook wants. I wouldn't characterize any of them as extremely spicy in general, and especially if they are boxed spice mixes from Trader Joes I think they probably aren't very hot. I think that the dhal would be the least spicy, the cream will cut down on the spice. Maybe the pav bhaji, since the bread also really cut down on the spiciness in any dish. Chole is usually served with a kind of bread, too, but in pav bhaji there is more bread, so probably less spicy. Honestly, you would be ok with any of them if you make sure to have lots of bread around, and some yogurt.

They are all masala dishes containing garam masala, which is a blend of curry and spices like red pepper, garlic, ginger and cumin.

Curry isn't a type of spice, it's the generic name for any combination fo spices common in Indian cooking.
Most commonly, tumeric and cumin but there are many many more spices used to make curry.
The hot comes from dried and ground chili peppers.
