Mix all ingredients:
1 c. plain yogurt
1/2 c. sour cream
1 cucumber, grated and squeezed (to get out some of the juice)
1 clove garlic, crushed
Salt and pepper to taste
The sauce is better if prepared one day in advance.

Tzatziki, although in Greece, it's considered a salad, not a sauce.
1 medium cucumber
1 teacup yoghurt
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teasppon vinegar
Salt
Dill
1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
Peel the cucmber and chop into small bits. Add the other ingredients.
Leave to cool in the fridge for an hour or two

I love Taziki sauce
It's made with yogurt, cucumbers and garlic salt and pepper.
There are many variations
sour cream
cumin
mint leaves
lemon juice
olive oil
Drain the yogurt in a coffee filter overnight so it gets rid of the water but leaves the cheese like texture
Take the cucumbers and wash them very well if you want to leave on the peel. Dice it and then toss with salt and place in colander to drain with a weight on top. I usually use wax paper over it then place big cans on top..it doesn't take too long to drain. Then press out carefully all the water left to remove the excess water.
In a med. bowl mix the yogurt, sour cream if you like, minced garlic, dash of salt and pepper, just a few chopped fresh mint leaves, a few drops of lemon juice, dash of cumin, drained cucumbers.drizzle with olive oil. Refrigerate until served.
Great on salads or Gyros, used as a dip or with bagel chips.
Best of luck,

in southern Greece, they use tzatziki (it's a "sauce" made of cucumber, yogurt and garlic). in northern Greece, we use ketchup and/or mustard if asked.
