We're planning a birthday party. We're grilling hotdogs for the kids. I have decided to have catered sandwiches (ham & turkey) for the adults. I want to also serve meatballs, but that's all I can think of. Beside cookies, chips & dips what else should I serve?

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up at the end of June. I was thinking I'd like to throw him a surprise party but I'm really low on funds. I can't use the pool house at our apartments b/c they are closed during the weekend. What's a good restaurant, bar or venue for a group of around 14?

Thank you!

I have a dinner party tonight (13 guests) and am responsible for dinner. I decided to do lasagna, but my lasagna has turned out AWFUL (Actually, I havent cooked it yet, I prepped it last night and just sampled the ingredients as I made it). I used low fat ricotta (YUCK!), I accidentally fully-cooked my noodles (which I am sure will be soggy once I put it in the oven) and I put a dash of nutmeg in my spaghetti sauce (the recipe called for it and I was curious to find out why).

Should I go ahead and cook the lasagna or should I trash it??? If I trash it, can anyone give me an easy and tasty idea for a meal I can fix. I will only have 1 hour to shop and 1 hour to cook. HELP ME!!!!!

I am thinking of creating a 'candy topiary' seen on Martha Stewart but want to create it with a brown/pink/white color scheme as opposed to random candy.

Each family of 5 families going on vacation together will make dinner for everyone else on one specific night. There are 12 adults and 10 kids under 14. Most of the kids are between 2 and 10. Any suggestions on what to make that is fairly easy and tastes delicious? I don't like Stouffer's lasagna and that is what my husband wants to make. Yes it is easy but I like mine better and I'm not making that much lasagna while on vacation.

I really want to do something memorable that all my friends will love, but something that isn't too costly. I also don't want a big party as I am not a big fan of attention lol.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks x

hes into video games and basketball. it would be nice to do it some where besides the house. The guest list is going to be all adult friends anywhere from 20 to 40 people. I don't have a huge budget to work with.

My daughter decided to have a polka-dot birthday theme at her Nanna's house and to keep with the theme, her step-mom came up with the idea that we serve round foods. It's a potluck so everyone has to bring something. Any suggestions? The party is Sunday afternoon. So far, it's hamburgers, pizza and pasta salad with wagon wheel pasta.

same beautiful and elegant garden-like environment in a Crystal room. The open bar will serve juices, soft drinks and wine right after the ceremony. Champagne
will be served by waiters inviting the guest to take their seats for the toast to be given. Lunch will follow, and wine
will be served at the tables. At the time of cake and desserts , coffee, tea, and water will be served. Her fiance and her are now suggesting to re-open the bar after dessert, and to include beer, before and after the meal. I
find beer to be inadequate for the very elegant wedding settings. The party is to be over at 2 p.m. I feel that we need to assume responsability for people not to leave light headed in the heat of the summer and avoid any accidents. Drinks before and during the really sumptuous meal
should be more than sufficient. I find no necessity to reopen the bar, and find beer to be distasteful for the elegance provided.
Can you please advise us. Thank you

Mother of the bride.
