We are having a party at a german bar, need some good ideas for games that the patron's can play. Everyone is 21 and up and please remember this is a bar so liability has to be considered (drinking till you pass out or have to get your stomach pumped is not the kind of thing we are looking for). Also there is a full german food menu at the bar so we could use food in games. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I over-invited. I'm having a tapas picnic and I only have an 8 person picnic table. It would cost me quite a bit to rent another picnic table so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for seating. Or if it's needed at all? Has anyone ever heard of a BYOLC (Bring Your Own Lawn Chair) and would this be incredibly bad form on my part to make people bring their own seating? Any advice would be lovely.

I am throwing my husband a NHL Red Wing themed dinner party. I am trying to think of ideas for the table and decor. Sometimes themes can take on a "child like" feel, and I want it to be clearly for a grown man. I thought of using a white tablecloth (because it is white, will be able to use it for more than just this occasion) and putting hockey pucks on the table with tealights as a center piece. I am still thinking though, and am just not sure. Any ideas on how to create a hockey themed dinner party? What kind of decor should be used? Is a hockey cake too juvenile? Or maybe the cake should be more simple?

I am serving.....
home made Chicken Salad
Roasted Potato Salad
Fruit Salad
homemade dinner rolls.
My sister is bringing a bottle of Chardonnay and there is iced tea for the kids.

The family consists of myself and my 2 girls (13 & 6), my mother, sister and her husband.

Do you think I should add anything to the menu? I asked my mom to bring a dessert but not sure if she got the message.

We're having a product party (think Mary Kay, Pampered Chef etc) and I need suggestions on inexpensive snacks to serve. It will be later at night (7ish), so most people will have eaten dinner already. I'm looking for ideas that preferably have little to no prep/cook time. I'm just kinda stuck because it's so late in the evening- serious answers only please! Thanks!

I'm opening up a business, it has nothing to do with food, it's a school to teach English as a second language.
I'm inviting some friends who work in human resources and might get me many students coming to my school.

I want to serve their choice of either a fish or salmon fillets with two sides; shrimp and tuna croquettes.

I want to get some round tables, some fish bowls, and some cheap fish that can live like a week in a bowl without any special equipment.

Are live fish swimming on a bowl a good centerpiece for a fish dinner?
