Royal Prestige is a total scam. Shady business practices, high pressure sales tactics, and outrageous prices. The cookware is good and durable, but costs 5-10 times as much as similar products. In other words, you can get the same quality or better and spend a thousand less.

I can't live without my AllClad stainless saute pan, my Calphalon nonstick skillet, my Le creuset dutch oven, and my cheapo Lodge cast iron frypan.

Don't buy a set. Pick and choose specific items that suit what YOU cook. Nonstick is best for eggs and starchy foods, Stainless is best for sauces and stocks, Enameled cast iron is best for stews and soups, and Cast iron is best for searing meats.

though I don't now what needs you have, as in what types of cooking do you mainly do, I would go with the Calphalon if it had to be between these two brands. Cuisinart makes a nice coffee pot and spice grinder, but their cookware is nothing special. Personally, I prefer Le Creuset, though it is heavy and expensive. But the pieces I have I have had for more than 20 years and they work and look as good as they did when knew. The best cooking surface, concerning even heat transfer, ease is cleaning and durability is enamel-clad cast iron. If you afford to buy a piece occasionally and build your set over time, check out Le Creuset. You can also find these pieces on ebay.

Stainless steel with reenforsed bottoms only..

There's a lot of garbage cookware out there. If you buy good quality pots and pans they'll do a better job and they'll last longer......

One thing you can do is go to an instutiononal supply place to buy your cookware....they supply restaurants and institutions like hospitals their kitchenware.....

forget Royal prestige or Lagostina.....

Never heard of Royal Prestige. But my favorites are T-Fal, Le Creuset, Corelle, and random cheap stuff that I don't care if I ruin. And Calphalon sucks. But Lodge cast iron is good.

I have not heard of that brand, but I love Calphalon! They make the hard anodized and now make a non-stick brand too. I have the hard anodized, and have had it for over 10 years and it's still like new. (They make a special cleaner for it too). It's very good!

I think Costco's brand, Kirkland, makes a great set that is ver affordable and great quality! I use them over my Caphlon pans which one pan cost the same as my entire Kirkland set!

I've used some before. My favorite pots are magnelite. I've had them forever. My biggest was a hand me down from my grandmother. They are very sturdy and durable.
