Tomorrow I'm taking cookies to my son's preschool registration and I want to make a good impression. I'm not a baker but they taste great. I don't even have a platter to serve them on.

i'm having my sweet sixteen and it's gonna be a luau, i hope i spelt that right anyway. my dad said that i can only invite 10 people which is okay, but i don't know what to do for it. of course i will have music and food, but i don't know what to do exactly. i don't want it to be too organized but i don't want it to be boring. PLEASE HELP ME!!!.

We are already starting to plan for this upcoming Christmas.I was thinking of getting pictures of myself blown up and I will sign the pictures and hand them out as gifts.......great idea, No?What should I hand out along with the photos? is there a restaurant with a private section or like a party room that i could use? i want to have a nice dinner for 10 to 15 people including games and such. The party will probably be around 2 to 3 hours. How much do you think that will cost in a nice upscale restaurant? the attire should be dressy casual.

My son is 25 years old and has made the decision to join the Navy he will be leaving for boot camp Nov. 6th. After boot camp he will be going to school for submarines. I'm am having a going away party, bbq on my spacious back deck we're also using a 20 by 20 tent behind the deck and utilizing our brand new 12 by 24 garage in case of bad weather. I am planing this picinic for Sept. 29. We live in the Poconos of Pa and it may be chilly. I would like to do a red, white and blue theme and incorporate a Christmas theme since he will miss this very special occasion. I'm at a loss and need help with setting up a menu and music since the ages vary from 20 thru 50. This is a very special day and I would like everything to be simple. We are looking at possibly having 50 to 80 guests. I would like to do the food myself. I have enough fridge space and time. I just need ideas for what kind of menu. I have a very big grill. My second son who is seventeen will be leaving for the Navy July 15, 2008.

I have decided at short notice to throw a BBQ on Sunday for my pals. As we have had a few this year already i want to make it more interesting by adding a theme that costs as little as possible. I know the normal themes but i dont want people to have to dress up, just some good decoration thats makeable and not going to burn a whole in my purse. Any good ideas?? I have searched on the net but all i find is sites where you buy themed plates and other such things.

We usually have a birthday party every year for my son who just turned 9, it is usually a theme and we get all the themed supplies($80), I make goody bags($10 each) for all the children and we invite our family and their sibblings total 25 people, 12 adults. We have a pinic at the park ($30.00 permit fee) unfortunately I have everything to do my husband does not do much and spend several hundred by the time we are done. I love my son but at what point do we do the make a special dinner and have a cake with just our family, me, my husband and my son and his brother instead of the party
