I'm not thinking that you necessarily need party "tray's" for that size of a group unless you are having appetizers only. Here are some ideas for both appetizers and regular food:

1. Buffet style food works well and lets the hostess have time to mingle with her guests and family.
2. Appetizer buffet might include some of the following: antipasta platter consisting of salami's, sopressata, provolone, marinated artichoke hearts, marinated mushrooms, pepperoncini, and an olive medly; sliced meats and a cheese platter; fresh fruit cubes with a yogurt dipping sauce; artisan breads and gourmet mustards, sweet butter; vege tray with ranch dressing; skewers of roasted chicken with dipping sauces; tortollini skewers with marinara sauce;
dessert trays filled with cookies, brownie bites, cupcakes and baklava.
3. Dinner buffet might include some of the following: lasagne; fettucini alfredo; angel hair pasta with artichoke hearts and sundried tomatos; green salad; marinated bean salad; garlic cheese breads with herbs; grilled veges such as eggplant, zuchini, yellow squash, onion brushed with Italian dressing; antipasti appetizer tray; desserts that would include tiramisu, zabaglione, brownie bites, cookies and mini cupcakes.

Fruit trays are always a hit! Veggie trays not so much, depends on the crowd. Maybe like a deli meat tray and cheese and crackers. Cookies and maybe some little tartlets.
Mini quiche. That's all I can think of right now.

I am assuming this will be a casual event? Meat and Cheese trays are good, along with vegetable trays. Cookie trays are good also...there is also a yummy sausage ball recipe you can make....2# sausage
2 cups of BIsquick
1 cup of shredded cheese
1/2 cup of water
Mix all of these in balls about the size of walnuts and bake at about 375 for 20-25 min. These are a big hit with guys.

The best thing to remember with guys is they don't really like the "fancy Stuff" Keep it simple!!!

What ever you fix...he will love cause you thought enough of him to do this!

Bless YOU!!!!
