Hummus is always an easy dish to prepare and share with many people. It also goes well with wine and various cheeses.

If your having wine serve cheese, fruit, crackers, light things that aren't too heavy while being eaten with wine. If you have a Costco near you they always have awesome little finger foods in the freezer section. I once these miniature spinach quiche there that were to die for! They were ready after 15 minutes in the oven , and everyone loved them. If you want a pastry i suggest the cream puffs they have also at Costco. They are SOOO good. Just think finger foods, fast and no fuss! I am sure your party will be great! Have fun!

Strawberries ,cheese , snack trays etc. What can really make the difference is to have some really good dips. Some cream type dips for the fruits and neat fresh crackers for the cheese.

I would also recommend some type of meat tray. Maybe one of those Hormel pre- packs from the grocery of a Mexican meaty dip etc.

The reason is that someone will have skipped lunch or has a empty stomach.
Good luck.

Cut strips of bacon into thirds. Wrap each around pitted dates and secure with toothpicks. Bake on a cookie sheet at 350 for about 25 minutes. Sounds odd, but it's delish!

Another fave of mine is to take canned salmon and incorporate cream cheese into it til it's very light. Serve with Ritz crackers.

Have fun!

if you're not in the mood to cook...go to costco's and p/u the frozen appetizers (100 pack) they are soo good and fresh-no one would believe you didn't make them yourself.

At Bjs they have spiral sandwiches that are awesome as well.

the point is not to stress yourself out and enjoy your time with your friends with the less work possible.

Enjoy

4 different types of cheeses w/ 2 types of crackers; bowls of strawberries, melon & grapes; bowl of caesar salad; little pastries; good olives; 2 or 3 different types of little sandwiches like chicken salad, egg salad, & 1 other; sliced baguette w/ pate , onion spread &/or salmon spread.

put the cheeses on platters w/ crackers & cheese knives, they can slice themselves, decorate w/ grapes & berries. put strawberries, melon balls & grapes on platters or their own bowls w/ toothpicks. put olives in bowls w/ spoons. slice the baguette & put pate & spreads on platter w/ spreader knives. you can make the little sandwiches & serve on platter-- you make regular size sandwiches & cut into quarters --4 little triangles & 4 little squares for variety. figure 3 little sandwiches per person so you need 10 sandwiches to cut into 4 pieces for 13 people. put the caesar salad in a bowl. pastries go on platter ... easy -- i do it all the time....

this should hold em...have fun!!!

cheese and crackers, veggies and dip, and some fruit is always a big hit. Also some select choice chips and dip; something that won't get messy, but looks appetizing and is good and good for you.
