is there a restaurant with a private section or like a party room that i could use? i want to have a nice dinner for 10 to 15 people including games and such. The party will probably be around 2 to 3 hours. How much do you think that will cost in a nice upscale restaurant? the attire should be dressy casual.

Don't know where you are but see if you have a Buca Di Beppo (spelled just like that, it means Joe's basement)... It is an awesome Italian restaurant, family style and almost every location has a Pope table which should seat 15-20 people no problem... most locations also have privates rooms throughout that can accomodate varying sized parties. The food is great too. I used to work at one and I can't imagine a better place for a casual or semi casual gathering.

Around here for a restaurant like that, per person will run about $25+ per person and only includes non-alcoholic drinks. Then there's the room rental, and a mandatory 20-25% gratuity.

The Christmas party I was at last year was what you're describing, and the boss gave everyone 2 free drink tickets and those drinks went on his bill no matter what drink it was. Then we had to pay for our own after that. He spent about $10K on it, but there were about 40 people there.

There are thousands of restaurants that have private rooms. Cost will depend on the type of food you get. You'll have to call each place to find out what they charge per person. Plus they might charge extra to use the private room. Find the restaurants you like and call them.

There are so many out there...just look even in your phone book and ask around your area. They will be happy to accommodate you and your guests.A lot of places slow down this time of the year because of school.I worked in hospitality for a while. Most of them would not even charge you to reserve a room.
