Anybody remember Showbiz Pizza? Basically it was just like Chuck E Cheese to which both had pizza, games, prizes you could get with the tickets you won from playing games, and animal robots that came out and sang songs.

I always went to Showbiz Pizza for my birthday and for several other times during the years.

The first thing I always did when I walked up to the doors of the entrance to get in was to see if the curtains were open on the three stages to see the animatronic robot band, The Rock-a Fire Explosion. Then my parents and I would order food and get tokens and then procede to the"show room" where the three stages were and find a table. Then I would go and play some games like skeetball or go into the play pin area where there were slides and small plastic balls, kind of like Discovery Zone. Of course if the curtains were open I would go to the show room and watch the band sing whatever.

The 1980's, they will never come again..........

I have purchased a large eye of round beef oven roast and I am cutting up a portion of it into chunks to make a stew in my slow cooker. I have to add some water and it seems funny to throw the blood down the drain. Any problems with using it? Sounds horrible but thought I'd ask. Thanks

Kay, it's kinda silly, but are peppermint candy's better for you than say chocolate bars? Like, would it better for me to eat a peppermint candy cane then to eat a snickers bar? Or are they about the same?

I soaked red beans overnight for the first time, and some of them have split open and most of the skins have shriveled or come loose. Is this normal? Can I still use them? HELP! I need to start my dish soon!

Which one is better? Which one do you prefer and why? I heard some people say that those two different soy sauces have different characteristics and are meant for different uses? .... I have no idea... what would be the use of each?

What do you people think of temperence? (Not drinking)

Personally, I think beer tastes NASTY and doesn't do anything for you..... so I don't drink.

How about you?

I have stew beef defrosted. I can make a stew, or a beef stir-fry. It's an overcast cloudy day in the mid-60's now in the Phoenix area. Half of me says hearty beef stew w/noodles, but I made it last week. Half of me thinks a little bit of a spicy stir-fry w/egg rolls, and I haven't made that in a few weeks. Hubby doesn't care what I make. Any other suggestions?

What's the best beef to fat ratio and what sort of ground meat should I use? Just beef or a mixture and what do I mix into it if anything? My hamburgers are tasteless and dry. A friend of mine told me to buy ground beef with a fair amount of fat, but I find them a little too greasy. Do you think I should use ribeye and have that ground up for a burger?
