Which one is better? Which one do you prefer and why? I heard some people say that those two different soy sauces have different characteristics and are meant for different uses? .... I have no idea... what would be the use of each?

I have a bottle of LLK and Kikkoman. I actually like both, but they do have different flavor.

LLK - has a hint of sweetness and has a more complex flavor.
Kikkoman - is saltier and more "malty" in taste.

For dipping and using at the table, I use LKK.
For cooking, both will work, but tend to use Kikkoman since I have a big jug from Costco.

I've tried Kimlan, LaChoy, Aloha Brand and Superior/Pearl River. Those to me are just colored salty water so LKK and Kikkoman are two brands you really can't go wrong with.

Lee ** Chee is my favorite, especially the garlic chille hot sauce, not as salty as kikoman.

Kikoman goes back a long way. To me It tastes less salty then any other I have tried.
