Ostrich steaks are very, VERY lean and have a mild taste. It isn't beefy, but not like fowl; it is unique.
Rabbit legs taste like gamey chicken.

I am a former chef and have had both, I cooked Ostrich, Kangaroo and Emu when I worked in Singapore, rabbit's when here in Canada and in Jamaica and Singapore, I never found them gamey or strong flavours, the ostrich, kangaroo and emu are as stated very lean so they require special cooking and care, even larding or wrapped in bacon for an added bit of fat.
Rabbits are commercial grown like a chicken, not wild hare or gathered from open fields, they are very mild and I have used every piece, for pates and stewed items and boned and stuffed with a mushroom stuffing called duxelle.
To say the tired cliche' about it tasting like chicken is not far off, it has a texture and flavour similar to it. Price wise is an issue if your not sure get as small a piece or even a couple of legs and try them. Then if you like it buy it again or more.

I used to cook ostrich steaks at my restaurant. It has the taste and appearance and texture of sirloin steak. Only lower in fat and cholesterol. I thought they were better than a sirloin. Some people said it was "gamey", but I thought it had a wonderful, rich flavor.
