brand is not so important as type of wine for cooking. For white I usually stick with chardonnay or sauvignon blanc. I buy mostly Fetzer Valley Oaks or Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve. About $10 a bottle. Something I would drink with me meal.

What ever you drink. If you don't drink wine go to a store like whole foods and ask in their wine department.
Another good rule is usually it's white wine with pasta, fish and white meat, and red with red meat. Good luck!

Any wine that you like to drink would be great to cook with.
Always remember that if its good to drink it can be used to cook with.

Cheap or expensive, only cook with what you wouldn't mind drinking in a glass. So go out there, try a few, find what you like, and you have your answer.
