I have baby-back pork ribs. I have heard that pork ribs can be boiled in seasoned water before cooking them in the Bar-B-Q. What temperature, how long?

3 liters of Crown Royal
1 handle of cheap Whiskey
a couple cases of beer

He is trying to save money, so I've agreed to make him frozen food that he can just put in the microwave or oven for a quick meal. (Something like Hot Pockets) He likes proteins but can't eat anything to spicey.

Any body have some good recipes for brunch?
Something light and simple?
Plus, if you could think of something that doesn't involve cooking and using oil, that'd be great because I hate eating a very big brunch that involves oil. Just one of those things I hate(=
So if anybody has some good recipes or ideas, please share!

Thanks!

we have a duck breast in sealed plastic which is within date. we've never bought raw duck before, so i don't know how it smells. we did have some things go bad in the fridge last week, but have since turned the temp down. i think it smells like a slightly strong smelling raw meat (like raw lamb smells), but my husband thinks it smells sulfuric, like a rotten egg. what should raw duck breast smell like?

Our old place was called Pizzeria DeCarlo. We are pondering VERONA or CIAO. We serve pizza, pasta, salads, and panini. Breakfast-lunch-dinner, casual dining, pick-up, delivery. We are in a small suburb outside of Chicago. No Capone or mafia references, please.

I made some cookie dough out of a kids cookbook (with my daughter). It only had 2 sticks of butter, 2 1/2 cups of flour, and one egg yolk. I may have used too much flour, so I compensated by adding another egg yolk (the recipe called for a large egg yolk so I used 2 small).

Anyway, the dough has been in the fridge for one day and it is very, very crumbly. What can I add to make it more elastic or moist for cookie cutter cookies?

I mean.. I've been eating a lot of raw red cabbage and .... phew... man! I tell you a draught horse has got nothin' on me. I can blow out a candle from 20 metres... and that's dangerous!

So .. how can you prepare cabbage without the obvious side affects?

(I've grown about 20 of them in the front yard ~ so it's time to get a variety of recipes from all you lovely experts!)

Ok .. so I got this garden growing out the front yard near the footpath with cabbages and spinach and corianda.. I expected it all to be stolen.. but it is still there. Now seems, I have to eat it... or my wife will tell me I'm an idiot. (I don't need the extra re-assurance but thanks for offering your thoughts in that respect)

I put in two whole punnets of corianda and none of it died. Now I have so much than I can use in salad.

Are there any other uses for corianda in quantity.. I mean.. can you have a corianda pie or sommat?

I'm a man. So, should I follow the recipe book or should I wing it out to the quarterback and let her decide?

Personally, I prefer to make it up as I go... but everything seems to taste like ketchup.

Should I avoid using ketchup in all my cooking? Is it bad for us?
