He is trying to save money, so I've agreed to make him frozen food that he can just put in the microwave or oven for a quick meal. (Something like Hot Pockets) He likes proteins but can't eat anything to spicey.

Soups, stews, chili, spaghetti sauce, lasagna, meatloaf (entree or sandwich) and swiss steak all reheat well. Pot pies and casseroles can be made in individual serving sizes and then baked when needed.

None of the above cost that much to make.

I make homemade Hot Pockets for my son all the time. You can make bread dough from scratch or use frozen roll dough or pizza dough (although that is more expensive). Thaw the frozen roll dough before using. Do not let rise. Divide homemade dough into large roll size portions. Roll individual protions into thin circles. Fill with (pizza sauce, fillings and cheese), (ham and cheese), (turkey and cheese), (meatballs and sauce), (cooked gorund beef, salsa and cheese) whatever appeals. Fold over like a turnover or calzone. Crimp the edges. Prick with fork. Bake at whatever temp roll recipe states. Wrap in foil after cool and freeze. I oprefer to reheat in the foil in an oven for about 15-20 minutes, but my son also microwaves them. Another really good filling is 1 lb cooked ground beef mixed with 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup grated cheddar cheese. Mix well and fill pockets. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Hi, Cook some shell pasta. Meanwhile saute 1 chopped onion with 1 clove of garlic, add 1 can of tomatoes, 1 can of tuna and some chopped parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Mix it all together and sprinkle with some cheese. Put in foil dishes, cover and freeze until needed. Very cheap and quick.

First of all when your cooking a meal, save a portion out for your brother. Fresh pizza dough can be bought in deli usually for cheap example shaws is on sale ten for ten sometimes, but if not 150 or your local pizza or corner store will sell you some.
fill with what you want, make different varieties all he has to do is pop in microwave. crescent roll dough can be filled also and baked fil with chili, ham and cheese. make breakfast varieties to add egg cheese what you would liek to have in omeltte. pot pies are cheap and easy and you can get more than one serving out of it too. Add cooked chicken to some homemade gravy of store bought or can of cream soup, mix veggies canned or frozen i sometimes use rice or leftover mashed potaotoes, (its very thick like toutia pie), but yu can add canned potatoes or fresh. Add broccoli or what he likes.
If you make him a chicken stew, take some to make his pot pie, beef stew, chop suey, things might become watery sometimes when frozen, things with milk products sometimes break.
Good luck and you are a very sweet and caring sister, your brother is very lucky.

a small french toast casserole is good for brunch or breakfast...just cube some bread add a 6 eggs to a half cup of milk a little vanilla and about 1/3 cup sugar mix eggs stir well add sugar vanilla and cinnamon as you prefer. pour egg mix over bread cubes....chill for at least 2 hours.or overnite and cook or. ..then freeze with freezer safe containers....bake at 350 for 1 hour if frozen and 40 minutes if thawed...this is a good easy breakfast for anyone ....you could also add cheese and or onion and not make it a sweet type of breakfast.....either way it is good...cube bread pour egg mix over chill and bake
