1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Mix well with a fork, then stir in oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract. When dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened, pour in cold water and stir until batter is smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a rack.

QUICK CHOCOLATE EGGLESS CAKE

1-1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup cold water
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp vinegar

Preheat oven to 375°F.
Spray a small baking pan (8x12) with vegetable spray or Baker's Joy.

Combine dry ingredients directly in the pan. Mix all the wet ingredients

In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients leaving out the vinegar until the final step.

Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring together in pan until well combined. Stir in the vinegar rapidly and immediately place pan into preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 min.

Optional: You can stir in 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips just before baking to make a richer cake with melted chocolate bits or swirls.

buy a box cake mix in the grocery store. if you want to add stuff to it buy the book ''The Cake Mix Doctor". It gives you different options of what to add, how much, and how to tweak the bake time and temp to make sure it comes out right. The book is about $15 I think but well worth it.

The most easiest way to bake a cake is go buy the betty crocker cake mix in the box. All you need to add is water/milk. There is some box out there that requires to add eggs and oil too, but that's all you add. Those cakes taste good.
