I have the More from Magnolia Bakery recipe book and want to make the banana pudding. One of the ingredients is Nabisco Nilla Wafers and it says no substitutions, but they're not readily available in the UK. Does anyone know what I can use as a good substituation for them, or if there is anywhere that sells them in London (I've found them at an American sweets online shop but it would cost £10 for them with shipping!). Thanks!

ok, i would of saved some money if i had it at the family restaurant. but thats not happening cuz some people are being idiots. anyhow, now im having it at a friends beautiful home. but now i need to rent chairs, get all the food and alcohol myself. it's not that i dont want to spend money on the party i definately do..but i have never thrown one myself so i want to know the smart ways on doing so. cost effective. price club kinda thing? platter trays? alcohol? kegs or what?
then i'll need decorations. he's turning big 5-0.
someone said get kegs and 2 buk chuck wine from trader joes.and no hard booze. (i only drink hard booze so that would kinda suck) but then someone else suggested renting a margarita (sp) machine... which sounded good.
any ideas?

Hiya, Ive heard that toast is really nice and easy to make, but its too hard. Ive got a toaster and some sliced bread but i dont know what to do with it. Ive plugged the toaster in and bought a loaf of bread, but i dont know how to make it go brown. Please help, im starving.

We have subway and I was in gregs today and bought a chicken and bacon sub. I was wondering why they are called subs and some are not and what does sub mean. The sandwhich was on a crusty baton of bread which did resemble a submarine - the only link i could think of.

I'm friends with the manager of a new Mexican restaurant in my town. They really needed a bar tender, because everyone that works there is a young kid that can't even touch the alcohol. Anyways they started me last night. I'm only 18, and though I'm serve safe certified I don't have a bar tending license. Is this legal or do I need to have a license and be 21?

Hi we are switching to a vegetarian diet. I have been cooking vegetarian dinners for a few months now. Well my husband decided that he doesn't want deli meats for his lunch anymore. He wants to do vegetarian lunches. The only thing is he is on the road all day for his job and needs somethind easy to eat while driving. Does anybody have any ideas.
