My doctor says I have high blood pressure and I need to use less salt. I hardly ever put salt on my food so I'm trying to cut out my salt in food products I buy and food I make.

Can anyone tell me how much salt your body is suppose to have each day and what food items are lower in sodium.

I'm just looking for some ideas :)
Thanks!!

My husband and I are having an anniversary party in a few weeks, and we have invited about 25 people. A couple of those invited may bring girlfriends who are underage, not by much, but yet still underage.

While it won't be an issue to be sure they aren't drinking, should we just avoid serving wine or champagne altogether? I don't really want anyone to have to be policing the party.

On a side note, when we were getting married, my in-laws offered to host our rehearsal dinner, but wouldn't allow alcohol. We ended up having it at a restaurant instead. They gave us a similar option for our engagement party, but we wanted a wine & cheese party, so we had it at my matron of honor's home instead.

What are your thoughts? It's not as if anyone is going to get sloshed, but I would really like to toast to my anniversary with a glass of wine or champagne.

This item is from the 1950s and would have been used in cafes. It is cream/white enameled cast iron with the HORLICKS logo on a red or white background sitting on the top. Some are illuminated. I will pay good money for one so please help. Thank you.

We've made a topping for bruschetta with fresh roma tomatoes, olive oil, vinegar, and garlic. I'm wondering if it will do well if we freeze it. My husband says it will be nothing but mush when we thaw it this winter. Has anyone tried this with any success?

My husband is getting out the Navy this month after serving for 10 years. He's not "retiring" per se, just getting his honorable discharge. I'm planning a surprise party for him and need game/ party ideas. It will be held at a local bar/ diner with karaoke and an outdoor pavilion. Thanks!

I just made my very first "tater tot casserole".......... I followed a recipe that required tater tots, green beans, peas, ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, and cheddar cheese. It has to cook for an hour. Have you had this?
Shall I go ahead and call Pizza Hut, or is this going to be good??? LOL!

Well im a vegetarian. I dont eat any meat not even fish because it is an animal it has a face it bleeds its meat. I hate it when people say otherwise fish isnt a damn vegetable. I try to drink soymilk most of the time. I drink regular lowfat milk occasionally. Once in a while cheese never eggs. I also eat my grains pastas and all that nuts herbs and what not. I feel really healthy. Ever since I stopped eating meat I feel so much better I lost alot of weight since I also excersize and I feel happy about myself. But my parents/grandparents often ask me how I can do it. They say you need meat in you or else you are going to starve yourself from not getting enough protein. They also say you want to look anorexic dont you. Eat some meat or at least some eggs to get some protein in you. At times they will be like come on at least eat fish vegetarians eat fish. Have some tuna. This cant be healthy for you Chris im going to take you to a doctor you look pale. blahblah. How do I make them stop!
