My husband and I are having an anniversary party in a few weeks, and we have invited about 25 people. A couple of those invited may bring girlfriends who are underage, not by much, but yet still underage.
While it won't be an issue to be sure they aren't drinking, should we just avoid serving wine or champagne altogether? I don't really want anyone to have to be policing the party.
On a side note, when we were getting married, my in-laws offered to host our rehearsal dinner, but wouldn't allow alcohol. We ended up having it at a restaurant instead. They gave us a similar option for our engagement party, but we wanted a wine & cheese party, so we had it at my matron of honor's home instead.
What are your thoughts? It's not as if anyone is going to get sloshed, but I would really like to toast to my anniversary with a glass of wine or champagne.
