MY FAVORITE!

Berry Good Punch

A favorite recipe passed around for years and modified several times, this classic summer recipes is really berry, berry good. Cran-raspberry or cherry gelatin can be used in place of the strawberry, and any favorite fresh berry can be used in place of the fresh strawberries. Don't thaw the berries, they keep the drink cold.

1 4 serving box strawberry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1 pint hulled strawberries
1 3 ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate
32 ounces cran-raspberry juice
2 cups cold water
28 ounces ginger ale
2 bags frozen mixed berries

Place the gelatin and boiling water in a large punch bowl and mix until smooth. Puree the strawberries in a blender and add to the gelatin mixture. Add the lemonade concentrate, cran-raspberry juice, and water. Mix well. This mixture can be made well in advance and chilled until ready to serve. Before serving add the ginger ale and mixed berries.

Makes 12 servings.

This was my Mom's. It's called Virgin Island Punch.

1 gallon OJ
1 half gallon peach nectar
1 half gallon pear nectar
1 half gallon pineapple juice
1 small (8 oz?) bottle grenadine

Mix it all up in a big clean bucket and then pour it into bottles for the fridge. It's great juice for kids, and adults can add a little rum!
