Food & Drink - 28 July 2007

Well I am 14 years old and this summer was my first summer of working. Well i was a dishwasher at a restaurant and was doing great. people were saying was doing a good job, one guy even said I was the best guy in there and my employer was going to give me more hours. Tonight i got in there and there was no running water (pipes broken) and i couldnt run the dishwasher or the sink. They brought in a vat of water and put it into the sink and told me to handwash which was redicolous for a restuarant on a busy night . I was trying hard but soon found myself overwhelmed in an absolute mountain of dishes I couldnt get cleaned before the waitors were complaining that there was more and I had to hurry up. It was way to much for me I was very stressed out at the time as well about my grandma in the hospital and I just lost it and walked out without saying anything. I called my boss and explained what happend and asked if I could still work there and he said dontcount on it nd hungup.WhatshudIdo?

So i go to the movies yesterday. I am kind of hungry, so i decide to buy a hot dog. I notice on the menue - All Beef Hot Dogs. No pork hot dogs served.
Turns out they didnt want to risk the chance of offending any muslims or jews by serving pork, so they switched to all beef hotdogs. What about offending me?
Cant i even have a real freakin Hot Dog these days without offending someone?

Hi there. I am trying to cook a guatemalan dish for my boss ( she is Guatemalan and preggo !! shes been craving it. Im from argentina and have no idea about this but the thing is the recipe says i need Guisquil? i dont have it and nor do i know what it is!!! do u think i could replace it with carrots? would it change the taste? I would really love to surprise her.. She is been really nice to me.. Gave me a job, pays my school, Gives me a place to live and the least i can do for her is this >.... PLZ people help!!!!

OK-I want to be a vegetarian. I already don't eat a lot of meat, so I don't think it would be too hard. But, what do I need to eat in order to get all my vitamins. Or will it be better just to buy vitamins instead? Does anyone know any good recipies that I can make in the microwave? You can also post oven recipies too because we'll be getting our oven fixed soon hopefully.

Does anyone know the difference between "lox" and "lachs"? I think they are both made from salmon. Lox seems to have NY Jewish origins, but I'm not sure. Lachs is Scandanavian.
