This often happens to milo also if you use a wet spoon. Theres not much you can do - if you want to chip bits away you can but I would just chuck it!

Put it in the microwave for a minute. It will soften it for you.
This also works with hard brown sugar.

It should disolve in milk. Put it in a blender with milk and ice cream and let it spin a bit
