So I have a box of frozen chicken patties because I forgot to defrost something so what should i make with it. I have salsa, cheese, bread, pasta, rice, and most other basics you would find in a pantry.

I have some Butter Pecan flavor waffle syrup in my fridge. I only occassionally eat dishes with syrup and it has been in there a couple of years now. Really it's just liquid sugar so can it eventually spoil?

I want to make my own soup and then just add boiling water to cook later, I know I can dehydrate the vegetables and save them for later, but I don't know what to do with the powdered soup base. Was thinking of just adding a chicken bouillon but that will not taste very nice, I think.

I've heard you can make naan from the Pillsbury crescent rolls that pop out of the paper container when you whack it on the calendar. Anyone ever tried?

For my Sweet Sixteen on June 2nd, three of my friends and my mother and I are going to a Spa all day. We have breaks in between, but we don't have time to get lunch out. Because of that, we want to pack lunch the night before. What are some light, healthy, and spa-y things that we could make? Thanks!

My friend and I got into an argument. She claims the only way to make BBQ Chicken is to deep fry it, then just put BBQ sauce on it. I say that you have to cook it in the oven, or cook it on the grill. Could somebody solve this dispute?

I want to make beef stroganoff for dinner tonight. I've never made it before... I want dinner to be ready in about an hour and a half. The recipe calls for 1 pound of cubed beef stew meat and a can of mushroom soup. Is this meat the stew that comes in the can? and last but not least - can I cook the ingredients together on the stove for like an hour instead of using a crock pot because the crock pot calls for 5-8 hours. Thanks!

I am curious to know how it is possible to keep food fresh without a refrigerator. How did they preserve it in the past? How did they keep it chilled? How do the Amish save food? What do you know/think?
