When I was in high school they used to have this peanut butter thing that was like a mixture of peanut butter and sugar. I have tried to make it with just that but there seems to be more to it. Does anyone know what I am talkin about and how to make it?

At Christmas time, I make peanut butter balls, it is pb mixed with powdered sugar and coated in chocolate. Does that sound like it? If so you can find recipes for it on allrecipes.com

heres a recipe for peanut butter squares but my family just loves. hope it what you are looking for.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
ICING:
1/3 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup peanut butter
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/3 cup milk
DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, sugars and peanut butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add water and vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt; beat into the creamed mixture until combined. Pour into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. In a small mixing bowl, beat the icing ingredients until smooth. Pour over warm bars. Cool on a wire rack.

This is one of the recipes that I have made for the neighborhood kids...

Peanut Butter Balls

INGREDIENTS:
1 jar creamy peanut butter
2 sticks melted butter
1 box powdered sugar
2 cups rice crisp cereal
1 12 ounce bag chocolate chips

PREPARATION:
Mix first four ingredients together and form into balls.
Freeze for 1 hour or longer.

Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler

Dip each ball into chocolate and place on a tray covered with wax paper.

Freeze for 1 hour or longer.

--------------HERE'S ANOTHER ONE USING VANILLA WAFERS...

Peanut Butter Balls

Recipe:
1 12oz. jar peanutbutter
1 lb powdered sugar
1 box vanilla wafers
1 1/2 sticks margarine
2 lbs of Baker's semi sweet chocolate

In a big bowl mash the wafers into tiny pieces. Add the powdered suger, miw well. Melt peanutbutter and pour into bowl, add the melted butter and mix well. Make into tiny balls. Melt chocolate and cover the peanutbutter balls with the melted chocolate.

------------AND, LASTLY...

P-nut Balls

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup
peanut butter

1/2 cup
powdered sugar

1/2 cup
sweetened condensed milk

PROCEDURE:

1. Measure peanut butter, powdered suger, and condensed milk into a bowl.
2. Stir well with a spoon.
3. Take a pinch of dough and roll it into a small ball.

It sounds like you might be thinking of a Peanut Butter Log. I don't have a recipe, but if you google it I'm sure you will find one.

yes! peanut butter squares, with powdered sugar on top! they were good. sorry i don't have a recipe though.
