I have been eating a flapjack for breakfast. It is basically a bar made out of rolled oats. How healthy is it?

Anyone had success getting a recipe from a restaurant? Is it better to write the corporate office or ask in person? I don't want anything fancy, just a soup recipe form Dave and Busters.

I'm not exactly lactose intolerant, some days I can drink milk without any problems, but there are days when my stomach can't handle it. I've recently discovered a brand of soy milk that tastes good and doesn't give me the stomach ache I sometimes get after drinking full cream milk. But I'm wondering, will I still be able to get the proper nutrients I need (not to mention sufficient calcium intake) if I replace milk with soy milk?

Over the weekend, I boiled bone-in chicken breasts to use in another recipe. I decided to make a stock from the broth/juices after I had taken the chicken out, so after I had used the chicken in my other recipe, I put the bones and skin back into the broth to finish making the stock (along with my veggies, etc). I want to make the stock into chicken noodle soup for tonight's dinner, which means that I need to cook more chicken. Can I cube up raw chicken & let it cook in the soup, or sanitarily, is that not a good idea?

I bought a large pack of chicken breasts because they were on special offer at the supermarket. I am going to cook some for dinner/sandwiches, but can I use them to make soup?

If so, does anyone have a recipe I can use?

Hi!
I am dating a man from Tennessee and his favorite desert is Chess Pie. I'm from Texas and have never even heard of it before, much less know how to make it! I found one recipe but it didn't turn out right ( At least I think it didn't, it was really runny... I don't know what it was supposed to have looked like though!) and I really want to surprise him by making this. If anyone has a recipe for really good Chess Pie I would really appreciate it! Thanks for your time!

What should I make for my mom's 50th birthday dinner party? There will be about 8 people there. She loves fish, and tends towards the South Beach diet (although I'm sure she'll make exceptions for her birthday!)

I'm making Creme Brulee for dessert, and possibly Angel Food Cake...

This is a question for women, single or married, do you approve best of a guy who knows how to cook tasty dinners for himself and who has grown up preparing meals for his family from a teenager to current day? As opposed to the guy who eats most meals in restaurants and who does little more than heating frozen dinners in a microwave oven and percolating a pot of coffee or boiling water for a pot of green tea I think I know the common answers here, but I am a guy who won't cook, and I am meeting a special Lady on April 25 at about 6:00 pm Toronto Time .. we chatted online and sent each other emails but we have never met yet

What is that dish called? I wanna look for the recipe on my favorite recipe site www.allrecipes.com but I can't remember what that dish is called? I think it's even served on top of pasta sometimes too.

I have sometimes been given a glass of wine that was too full. I had to sip it quite quickly so it would not spill easily. (clothes, tablecloth, etc)

Also, I know that brandy and cognac are poured so there is a little in the bottom of a balloon glass for sniffing too. I have even seen red wines poured this way recently. OK? Correction?

And, what about big frosted drinks ... just about an inch of headroom, is that correct? with room for straws and garnish? Floating fruit & little umbrellas? (help!)

I have a theory that people do this because they don't wish to be thought stingy ... but it is awkward. I'd rather not worry about spillage!

Thank you!

Friday I am going to make some freezer meals. I have a TON of chicken breasts and steak and was wondering if I partially defrosted it (enough to slice) the refroze it, if anything would happen, or if I should just by unfrozen meat and proceed from there. Any ideas?
