steak fries and asparagus

Home made cole slaw. I've even taken to using the "brocoli slaw" that's in many grocery store produce sections now. Can hardly tell the difference, and it's healthier.

Shredded cabbage (or broccoli slaw)
grated carrot (if you buy the packaged, there's some in, but not enough)
celery seed
cider vinegar (just a little now)
a little sugar (about a tsp)
mayonnaise (the real thing)
Mix it up (Mixing (and serving) with a big serving/salad fork is easiest) . Add mayo as necessary and mix well.

Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour before serving.

Vegetable--definitely asparagus. Side dish--hrm. I'm stumped on that one. I only eat crab cakes when I go out to eat, and most places give you a choice of baked, mashed or french fried potatoes. I always pick the fries. :)

Personally, I'd like a side of basmati rice (preferably curried) and some steamed asparagus. And find a good recipe for a remoulade for the dipping sauce for the crab cakes...I lost mine.
