A psychiatrist might label you a "functional alcoholic" if your drinking is not negatively affecting your education/work/life. However, there is no such thing as a functional alcoholic, and this is just a way for them to generate more revenue.
If it's not affecting your life, then you have absolutely no problem and may proceed to go on doing what you're doing.

If your looking for people's experiences with alcohol, check out this site:

Click alcohol and then go down to 'experiences'
It also lists many studies/papers and so forth on the long term effects.

Well it sounds like you already know how to drink but I would look up alcoholism anyway just so you get some facts on the long term effects of drinking. I enjoy drinking a little too much sometimes but the long term problems are what I would worry about such as fatty liver, blood pressure, diabetes, stroke etc. Good Luck

A case a week is too much. You'll end up with some disease for the rest of your life if you keep that up. Cirrhosis, Diabetes, Heart disease, Cancer, etc.
You don't mention your age but if you are younger than 30, you should seriously consider changing your habit. And if you are over 45, the damage is probably pretty much done - it's just a matter of time before something shows up. Have you been to a Dr. lately?

Do not drink with an empty stomach...surely you will have lots of gas pain... the worse..you might develop ULCERS... nor eat to much before drinking..you will have indigestion or won`t be able to drink at all.Drinking that much beer will do you harm to your body...count the days..weeks..months then you suffer the consequences.Best thing to do just DRINK a LITTER of beer a day and you will be fine.Enjoy LIFE..its beautiful.

Drinking more than 1 bottle per day is bad for your health and you will gain weight fast since average bottle of regular beer has about 150 calories.

Well, as you obviously know, it's not good. But I drank all day at work and after work. I've been told I have a fatty liver and high blood pressure, and I probably have kidney stones. I'm working on it really slowly. :)

Be careful you could end up looking like Ted Kennedy with a bloated head and red veins in your nose.
