I live in a small studio with no balcony/patio so I have no grill. I love to cook but have very limited recipe knowledge!!! Plus Im always up for trying something new---please help!

My family thinks I make the best steak ever.

Buy a ribeye steak (however many you need)
Use Cavendar Greek seasoning. season on both sides.
Puncture steak with a fork several times
Heat olive oil and small pat of butter in a saute pan
Cook steak turn over after 2 minutes, repeat.
Add worcestershire sauce, a teaspon or to taste.
Cook another 3 minutes or each side for medium to medium rare. Longer if you like your steak more thoroughly cooked.

Steak au poivre to beging with, I recommend you to use Alton Brown's recommendations from the Food Network, the guy has great recipes, http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_27523,00.html

I also love the shows Barefoot Contessa and Good eats and the essence of Emeril, they don't have over complicated recipes but they'll make you feel like a chef. You can find all of their recipes in the Food Network website.

If you don't have a grill you could use a broiler , that's pretty much an upside down grill.

Juicy Steak
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter
1 (1/2 pound) frozen Delmonico (rib-eye) steak or your favorite kind
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
1 teaspoon meat tenderizer
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preheat your oven's broiler. Spread half of the butter on top of the frozen steak. Pour Worcestershire sauce over, and sprinkle liberally with meat tenderizer, garlic, salt and pepper.
Place steak on a roasting pan. Broil for 6 to 8 minutes, remove steak from the oven, and flip over. Spread butter and season just like the other side. Return to the broiler, and continue cooking for 6 to 8 minutes, or to desired doneness.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups all-purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
paprika to taste
2 pounds beef cube steaks
3 green bell pepper, sliced into rings
3 red bell pepper, sliced into rings
4 onions, sliced into rings
4 (14.5 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
DIRECTIONS
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt and pepper, and paprika. Dredge the steaks in the flour mixture, and place in the skillet. Brown steaks on both sides, and remove from heat.
In a slow cooker, alternate layers of steak, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, onion, and tomatoes.
Cover, and cook 6 to 8 hours on Low, until steaks are very tender.

Steak can be broiled in the oven. Or you can cut the steak into strips or buy strip steaks and grill it on the stove with veggies and add some teriaki or grilling steak sauce. sauce. Onions and peppers and mushrooms would be good.

Chicken Fried Steak

Cube steak
Cornflakes
flour
1 egg
Milk - 1/8 cup

Heat pan with 1/4 cup oil on medium

Beat the egg and combine with milk

put the flour in one bowl and the cornflakes in the other

Dunk the steak in the egg/milk and coat with flour on both sides. Then dunk in the egg/milk again and coat with cornflakes on both sides.

Cook in oil for about 5 mins per side.

i use olive oil and a little butter in a frying pan. throw on your steak ( new york strip is my favorate , i also like a good serloin ) add salt pepper and garlic, then just cook it to your desired doneness. you can add green peppers, onions and mushrooms. to the pan after you remove the steak and sautee them, or use whatever veggies you prefer, after all your the one that has to eat it. I like to have a baked potato on the side.

you could always pan fry steak to seal it then pop it in the oven with onions mushrooms & peppers a litle water to braise it & a splash of red wine cook till steak tender then thicken juice 2 make gravy

When I use to eat red meat, I used to marinate steak in Italian dressing in the refrigerator for 3 days, then baked it in the oven.

if you oven has a broiler you can cook steak with it. Or get a cast iron skillet and make a flat iron steak.
