I have to make something for a pot luck we are having at work...I have brought a taco dip, brownies, and BBQ meatballs before and have kind of set a high standard so now I don't know what to take that will rise to the occasion!!! Something that doesn't cost too much and is enough for like 15-20 people. Please help!!

Go to Costco and buy the Kirkland Signature Lasagna - it is WONDERFUL - serve it! You'll be the hit of the party.

Swedish meatballs in the crockpot. It's my husband's recipe so I always have to ask him what all goes in it. But I know it's a package of frozen meatballs, cream cheese, cream of mushroom(?) soup, a little can of diced green chilis, and a little milk.

It got raves at our last dinner party which was easily around 15-20 people. There wasn't one meatball left!

Or if you want to do a dip again, look on epicurious.com for a hummus with parsley oil recipe. I put it in a bread bowl and people were amazed.

Get ready to wow em! I always make this for a crowd and it always gets rave reviews. It's cost ya about 10 bucks or so.

Get a crock pot. Brown 1 pound of ground beef, drain and toss in the crock pot. Add 1 large package of veleveta cheese, cubed up, 1 can of hot Rotel tomatoes, 1 can of Campbells nacho cheese soup and 1 can of Campbells fiesta cheese soup. Set the crock pot to high until it all gets melted, stir it up and then you can transport it to work. Just leave it on low and be sure to stir every once and awhile until you eat it. Serve with tortilla chips. Everyone will love it, I promise! I always have askingfor the recipe, whihch I hate to reveal is so easy...lol
Good luck!

I'm a big fan of Costco, so if you have a membership, it helps! You can take some of their prepared/frozen things and pass it off as your own.

Otherwise, frozen, flavored chicken wings (tequila lime, BBQ buffalo, etc.) are easy to make, and you can put them in a disposable aluminum tray and cover with foil. One bag usually has around 24-30 in it. You can add extra BBQ sauce, ranch or lime wedges to make the extra punch.

For non-cooking, fruit or veggie trays are always a hit!

Ah, you see, you set the standard to high. I usually just bring soda. Of course I made a taco dip once myself and now everyone always wants that. How about, deviled eggs? Those are awesome and always a hit. Really affordable too.

Try a green bean casserole, 4 cans of fresh cut green beans, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup ( or cream of chicken ) 2 8 oz. packages of sharp cheddar cheese and dried dirke onions. Mix drained green beans, soup and 1 package of cheese together in casserole dish until well blended. Top off with remaining package of cheese and onions. Bake for 20 minutes at 325.

get pillsbury crescent rolls and wrap each triangle around a vienna sausage. Bake as directed on the package. Serve with a dijon mustard dip and a ketchup dip.

Homemade soups would be easy - cream of mushroom would probably be the best bet.

I brought baked mushroom-stuffed tomatoes to one once, and they were very popular.

Salads would be another safe choice. Samosas would be easy to transport. Fresh, cut fruit would be a healthy, easy to prepare option.

BBQ-baked (to melting tenderness) lamb cutlets or ribs would be posh, as would be salmon cakes or salmon mousse.

Pineapple upside down cake will make you the hit of the potluck. When I used to work at National Car Rental, we would have potlucks every month and the lady who brought homemade pineapple upside down cake everytime was always the hit of the potluck.

You can also bring your own roasted chicken for everyone, just like my co-worker did but its little bit on the incredibly high standard. A reasonable option is to make something exotic, my sister made chicken sambal, a Malaysian dish.
