how long it takes to preheat oven to certain temperature,like 500F? when it then says bake the burger for 7 minutes, does that mean just put the baking sheet into the oven, which is preheated to 500F? and no need to turn on the oven again? sorry for so many questions, i am just new to use this stuff. Thanks

Hi!

I am looking to find out how long you can keep the following things in the fridge & freezer

Jacket Potatoes (cooked)
Rice dishes
Boiled potato
Sausages
Spanish Omelette

Does anyone know how long these will keep wrapped up in the fridge, and also in the freezer, or where I could find this infomation?

I'm 24 male. I guess when in college I drank maybee 3 times 1 of which I got stone drunk. I don't understand how people become alcoholics. I mean when I got drunk once. It wasen't like I wanted to go and seek the alcohol again to feel that same effect. It didnt' seem the alcohol was addictive. How do people become alcoholics.

I'm attempting to make couscous with goat cheese and caramlized onions. However, the recipe I found said to just put the chicken broth in the microwave and put it over everything at the end (including the uncooked couscous.) This to me doesn't seem like it would work. Does anyone have a better version or way of doing it, or should I just try it this way? Thanks!

I am using a box cake mix- triple fudge chocolate-- or something real yummy sounding.

I am a pro at messing up cakes & cookies - and I know baking recipes aren't to be messed with. But it's my husband's birthday and I wanted to do something different...

I am going to chill the expresso to room temperature because I can forsee that it would ruin the eggs if hot... other than that- I would assume expresso is the same as water other than the taste... ??? :)

Any advice or warnings would be appreciated... and I guess if the cake is ruined I could go pick up a tiramisu or something for him. :)

We both LOVE coffee so I can't imagine it would be anything near strong for us & I know chocolate and coffee compliment eachother.... I also figured I could get a fudge frosting or something if the cake isn't sweet enough... but I don't know why it wouldn't be since the mix probably is full of sweetness.

I swear fresh ground coffee tastes better than pre-ground. My husband thinks they taste the same. Is it all in my head or do they taste the same? What do ya'll think?

I bought a steak from the supermarket that came in one of those trays which are meant to be sealed with plastic. I just discovered that the seal was broken and the steak has been exposed to air for about 3 days. It is now 1 or 2 days away from its use by date.

The steak appears to have no unusual colour, nor does it have any unusual smell.

Will it be safe to eat, how can i tell?

And if it is still worth eating it, what is the safest way to cook it?
