I'm attempting to make couscous with goat cheese and caramlized onions. However, the recipe I found said to just put the chicken broth in the microwave and put it over everything at the end (including the uncooked couscous.) This to me doesn't seem like it would work. Does anyone have a better version or way of doing it, or should I just try it this way? Thanks!

I would try cooking the couscous in the chicken broth first and then adding the goat cheese and carmelized onions. I think that would work better and assure that the couscous is completely cooked. Hope it turns out. Sounds yummy!

couscous cooks very quickly, especially if you get the instant! This recipe should work. Just make sure the broth is almost boiling and let it stand over the cous cous for about 5 min and fluff with a fork.

That's possible. Instant couscous cooks very quickly. Combine one cup instant couscous with one cup boiling broth. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. It's that easy.

doesnt really matter how you heat the liquid, micro or stovetop. If you mix it all in with the couscous the cheese will melt into everything. if thats what you want throw it all together into the boiling liquid and continue. After your liquid boils you remove it from the heat and it all gets absorbed that way.

The cous cous are little sponges that part will work just fine. As for the cheese, add part to the hot mix, that way the flavors will melds together and add the rest at the end just befor serving to enhance the total flavor

Cous cous reconstitutes in 5 mins.
I use broth or boiling water pour over the grains in a bowl then let sit 5 mins. To serve fluff with a fork.

It should work , the couscous should just "suck up" the stock.
