how long it takes to preheat oven to certain temperature, like 500F? when it then says bake the burger for 7 minutes, does that mean just put the baking sheet into the oven, which is preheated to 500F? and no need to turn on the oven again? sorry for so many questions, i am just new to use this stuff. Thanks

Preheat will take about 10mins. You turn the oven off AFTER the cooking process

For baking, as in cakes and pies and such, exact timing in preheated ovens is pretty necessary.

For meats and less temperamental dishes, approximate heat is fine. When my oven reaches temp the light goes off. I usually preheat for everything just to cook evenly. It takes the guesswork out.

If you put a piece of meat in a cold oven, set it for 500, and take it out 7 minutes later it will be raw in the middle and cooked well on the outside. That is almost a broiling temp.

After preheating the oven, leave it on, put the food in, and then let it cook for 7 minutes. when 7 minutes is over, turn off the oven and take out the food.

You have to preheat the oven for about ten minutes, otherwise you would have to bake the hamburger for more than 7 minutes - posibly 10 minutes without preheating.

It might take about 5 minutes to preheat and it will start "baking" when it has warmed completely. It should automatically maintain the temperature - but don't turn it off until you are done baking. The directions on the burger's package should specify how to cook the burger - I would definetly use a baking sheet. Just be sure you remove any wrappings unless the directions tell you to leave it on. Be sure you turn off the oven when the burger is done cooking! Hope you enjoy your burger!
