I'm looking for some different recipes and would like to buy some prime rib for dinner tonight. The last time that I bought Prime Rib, the butcher sold me "roast beef." Big difference.

Please can anyone share any original veggie recipies? I've been stuck in a pasta / cous cous / noodle rut for some time and need something new and interesting. I'm also a lazy cook and despair at the thought of hours slaving in a kitchen - so please, nothing that a cooking dummie cannot handle! And if that wasn't bad enough, I have a fixed orthodontic appliance (braces) and so cannot have anything hard that might break my wires!

Hi Folks,
It seems to be Shrove Tuesday - pancake day.
Two questions, I suppose.
I shall soon be bunging the usual mixture of plain flour, egg, milk & melted butter together, duly panned, then rasberry jam & lemon juice, and a sprinkling of caster suger.
Highly ordinary, I suppose.
Any nice different ideas out there ?
2nd being - why is Shrove connected with pancakes ?
I'm sure that there is a goodly reason, but I can't put my finger on it.

In March I will have a family birthday party for 19 family members.
9 adults will celebrate their birthdays that are in Feb. & March. My question is, what kind of fun food to serve 7 children, ages between 5-12 yrs. old. I was thinking of having a round table of food for just the children to choose from. And a different table of food for the adults.

I've never had a hangover before, but I can only imagine it feels worse than an alarm clock waking me up when I've got only 4 hours of sleep, and that is a hellish feeling by the way.

How does waking up with a hangover compare to that 3 or 4 hours of sleep hellish feeling? And how much worse would that hangover feel with only 3 or 4 hours of sleep at that after you've been extremely drunk the night before?

I've never experienced it before. What's it like?
