Sure it is! You can put whatever you want on a pancake! When I was at school, my Home Ec speciality was stuffed pancakes. I would cook up a mushroom, pepper, onion mix...add some herbs and whatever other random veggies were floating about. Then pop it into the pancakes and roll them up, put them into an oven-proof dish, cover them with a tomato sauce (dolmio if you're feeling lazy) heat it first if you're short of time, then top that with cheese & grill it til it's bubbly....yum! I'm sure you weren't after a savoury pancake recipe but if the gravy doesn't work out for you....... :@)

You can put what you like on them but I can't imagine a gravy pancake would actually be nice to eat. In our house we play a game where you have to choose 3 things, none of which would go together. I think pancake, gravy and Branston pickle would be a good suggestion.

I come from South Africa and we put margarine and sugar on mine and loads of people in England think that sounds nasty so i guess its what you like even though gravy does sound a little nasty, but it might taste a bit like gravy on yorkshire puddings because the ingridients are the same, exept yorkshires are thicker.

Well my best friend puts chocolate and sugar on pancakes together so i don't see why gravy isn't.

I say go for it! My step father eats peanut butter bologna pickle sandwiches so why not put gravy on your pancakes.

the good thing about pancakes is that you can put on them what ever you like!!!
if you like gravy, and you like pancakes..... why not eat them together!!!
