6 grams is a bit more than one teaspoon which is 5 grams. like a small pinch more. If you are converting a recipe -- you can use 1 tsp. as the conversion measure.

I generally go by the rough & ready equivialent of 1 teaspoon being equal to 5 grammes,i use this as a guide in both cooking & also measuring out medication for poultry & livestock .The additional 1 gram you need would be just a pinch more,this is a quantity too small to reckon with.

If you are just talking about normal table salt, I think it's o.k. to say one teaspoon is 6g. After I read those website below, I checked it myself and table salt was 6g, fine sea salt was 7g although the density figure is 10.67g.
