My dad believes that it was named after the nut that goes on a screw. I have to prove him wrong.

I made a Thai dish last night, and as is my policy when trying a new recipe I followed the recipe to the letter. But the taste was flat no depth of flavor at all. But the recipe only called for curry and cocoanut milk as the main taste factors. Do you have suggestions for a more deep complex taste?

I have about 3 porkchops that I want to cook for my little cousin and I. I know a few recipes but I am looking for something new. I didn't stack up on groceries yet, so I'm out on a few things I'd usually be needing (breadcrumbs, veggies. etc). I have the simple things like seasonings. Anyone know any good, easy, recipe that doesn't require a lot of ingredients? Would you prefer pasta or rice with it? I even ran out of potatoes! Oh and I am looking for something to bake, I suck at frying porkchops, only baking!!

It's going to be very very difficult for me. My family is one reason, they have a healthy obnivore diet and meeting their needs plus mine will be difficult. I just am tired of meat (taste-wise) plus I had a pet chicken. But I think if I just quit meat cold turkey (no pun intended), I'm not going to last, is there a method, some tips that will help me convert ?

How did you guys manage it ?
Are there any books that you recommend ?

I really want to try this vegetarian thing out for the sake of MY conscious and my herbivore taste buds.
