Excellent choice - but make sure it's wholemeal bread, not just "brown" bread. And no butter on the toast!
Even better, buy the low salt/sugar beans.

Baked beans are a good source of secondary protein. In the 80s I remember the 'F' plan diet - 'F' being Fibre. However 'F' is also the first letter of 'fart' - and that's an inconvenience with a bean diet.

Brown bread good. Beans good. "Baked Beans" bad! They say in tomato sauce. Should say sugar sauce!

Buy the low salt and sugar versions, don't use butter either on the bread, otherwise they are both high in fibre and the tomato sauce high in vitamin C and something else that i cannot recall the name of but is present in all red fruit and veg and is good against cancer....

Yes, they are both low fat and high fibre, and although the beans have sugar they are still better than a lot of things cause they fill you up and hopefully stop you snacking later on...yum yum!!! x x

Definately a low fat option...I used to eat this alot when I was on weightwatchers. Tin tomatoes on toast are delicious too! Try to skip the butter/marg though!!!
