How about MRS DASH seasoning mix. It is low sodium and high in flavor. It would spice it up without adding salt.
BTW stay away from cheese - it is a major salt source.

Mrs. Dash makes great salt free seasonings, but there is one by Mcormick called Spicey salt free seasoning. I am on a low sodium diet, and use lots of it. I marinade burgers as well as shake it on them after they are cooked.
Portabello mushrooms are great grilled on burgers. I usually top them with tomato and hummus as well.
