Actually, most advice on hangovers that I've seen usually includes advice on not drinking so much next time, or not drinking at all. But as others have said, that's a preventative measure, not a cure, and it's not going to help someone who has a hangover and is looking for relief. A hangover is a true physiological condition, whether or not it was someone's own behavior that created that condition. If you went online looking for advice on how to treat a sprained ankle, the most helpful advice would not be to wear sensible shoes and take care where you step. The same goes for treating symptoms of alcohol withdrawal or the poisonous effects of alcohol.

Because that would be like saying abstinence is a "cure" for pregnancy or STD's.
While not having sex and not drinking would be the most efficient ways to prevent pregnancy and STDs (regarding sex) and hangovers (regarding drinking), neither are "cures" because a cure is a solution to a situation that already exists.
Good question.

well...first it is not a cure, it is a prevention. Secondly, probably because we all got tired of hearing people who are asking for a cure for a hangover, they getting told to drink less. They get mad. So why should we bother telling you that if nobody listens??

I would venture to say, that unless one was a drinker, one would not be asking about a hangover cure.....so are you on like a crusade Mr. Puritan....or just trying to stir things up?

Because not drinking is not a cure. They're asking how to cure one once you already have one.
