I had my first alcoholic beverage when I was 22 ....... now 6 months later I find wanting it a lot and I dont like it unless I get affected by it. Why am I drawn to it so much and how do I get past the cravings of it ( I mean I can't have it all the time even though I want it ) because I don't get the feeling from anything else.

I also have been finding myself building a tolerance for myself.....For instance I had 2 cosmopolitans, 1 sex on the beach, and a shot of vodka and really felt nothing.....is this normal?

I have absolutely no idea about cigars. My brother smokes them occasionally but nothing serious. Due to work I get a behind the scenes peek into a few local restaurant kitchens throughout the month. One night I watched as they made up hot sauce for the chicken wings (which always smells sooooo good, lol). I watched and saw that the two main ingredients were Frank's Red Hot Sauce, and some wine. I thought to myself "if you eat that, would it affect you as if you are having a few sips of wine?" I don't drink due to medical reasons, and after eating a few that were offered to me tonight I felt a little funny. Could it have been all in my mind, or would wine mixed with hot sauce have the same effect as if it was by itself?

Even when I drink equivalent quantities of alcohol (e.g. two small glasses of wine vs two shots of whisky), the wine makes me more drunk, and faster as well.

Also, why is it bad to mix drinks like beer and vodka? Can anyone give me a good chemical or biological explanation?
