I had my first alcoholic beverage when I was 22 ....... now 6 months later I find wanting it a lot and I dont like it unless I get affected by it. Why am I drawn to it so much and how do I get past the cravings of it ( I mean I can't have it all the time even though I want it ) because I don't get the feeling from anything else.
I also have been finding myself building a tolerance for myself.....For instance I had 2 cosmopolitans, 1 sex on the beach, and a shot of vodka and really felt nothing.....is this normal?

I forgot to say that I weight only 100 lbs so I am really thin and had that to drink so I didn't know if that was typical not to be affected by it.

i got the same problem as you.
the only way its wrong is if you think its wrong
after drinking for a little while you eventually build up a tolerance everyone does.
but it most definently shouldnt be an everyday thing
going to the club is ok but excessive partying is a little to much
if you think that your drinking is out of control then you should take action but unless you dont
get more drunk..

Watch out, kiddo! As an alcoholic in recovery, I know from treatment that the liver in certain people process alcohol differently, and thus forms a sort of allergy of the body. What is peculiar in alcoholics is a developing of craving. It becomes an obsession of the mind. The brain will always crave the feeling you get from a few belts, when the tolerance builds up enough, your mind will always need more and more. After a while, your body starts to shut down during long periods of intoxication, and some even develop a wet brain. I could tell horror stories all night, at this stage, you can probably just quit, reminding yourself that this substance is bad for you. Unlike people with other allergies, people suffering from alcoholism crave the very toxic substance that will eventually kill them. I wish you the best luck and if you ever need help remember your anonymous friends...

You have developed an addiction. The wors part of the addiction is the mental part, the obsession.
You don't have to describe yourselfwith the term alcoholic, but you do have a drinking problem. You should try AA meetings. you can usually find a list of meetings in your area in the local newspaper's classified section.
Good luck and God bless.

As people consume more alcohol they develop a tolerance for it and it takes more to get them drunk. This doesn't mean it's not having a huge effect on your body, though.
For the sake of your liver, I would advise you to cut back and to stop making getting a buzz a priority. Contact Moderation Management on how to cut back on your drinking, and if you have a more serious problem and need to quit entirely they will refer you to Alcoholics Anonymous.

because drinking alcohol makes us feel great. it's okay to want to drink socially, like on the weekends or when you go out with your friends. if you are drinking by yourself at like 10 in the morning, then you might have a problem.

That many drinks into a 100lb body should definitely effect you. In fact, it probably did, you just didn't notice.
You could be addicted and have alcoholism.
