just read an article in the local paper here in Napa and they said that if you are trying to watch calories, your best bets for alcoholic drinks, if you must consume one, are wine, beer, diet sodas with things like rum, vodka or tequila added. Steer clear of anything with juices, triple sec, etc. They just will pack on the calories.

Try Rum and diet coke, or a vodka/soda. Hard alcohol doesn't have as many calories as beer or wine and when you mix it with a low or no calorie soda or water you get some of the lowest calorie drinks. Stay away from super-mix drinks like Long islands and margs, these have the most calories out of all mixed drinks. Happy drinking.

As a bartender, I would recommend rum or bourbon with diet coke, but most ladies watching the carbs and the calories go with vodka & soda with a splash of cranberry juice. It's lite and girly. Wine is also nice too.

The best to drink is a hard liquor (gin, whiskey, rum) with soda water or diet cola. Stay away from wines, beers, drinks made with fruit juice and sour mix. They all contain surgar and are higher in calories. Alternate drinks with water or soda water with a twist of lime. The water will keep you hydrated and will keep your caloric intake down keeping you quenched and less likely to drink many empty calories away.

Everything with no sugar, so no extra calories besides those coming from alcohol.

Red wines (dry regular table wines), Dry White Wines,

Prevent cocktails and long drinks except whiskey and soda, rum with coke light or my favorite dry vermouth, lime juice (unsweetened) and Sprite Zero to mix

Most spirits have between 200 and 300 calories per ounce!!!! This includes vodka. Adding mixers only increases that amount. So, technically, there is no such thing as a "low calorie" cocktail.

Stick with a rum and diet, or a bourbon and diet. Stay away from anything with fruit juices as they have tons of sugar calories, esp with bar concentrate.

Rum and diet coke, Jack and diet coke, pretty much anything with diet coke. anything with sour mix has a bunch of calories and sugar.
