I think it's a licorice flavored alcohol but I'm not sure.

Here's the recipe I found it in!

Shrimp and Fennel Sauté
Serving Size : 2

1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/4 Cup White onion, sliced thin
1 Cup Fennel, sliced thin
1 oz Pernod
1/2 Cup Tomato, chopped
1 Tsp Orange Zest, chopped
2 Tbsp Orange Juice
12 Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter, cut into small pieces

In a large saute pan heat oil. Add the onions and fennel, cook, stirring for 3 minutes, or until the vegetables begin to get soft. Carefully add the pernod, it may ignite. Allow to cook for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes, orange zest, and orange juice, and shrimp, and cook for 5 minutes. Using a spoon, add in the butter, swirling to incorporate it completely. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve.

Ok, only people that eat colt cut sandwich need apply. When you order a sandwich, what order do you expect the sandwich to go

B = BREAD
M = MEAT
Y = MAYO
V = VEGATABLE
C = CHEESE

The proper order for a sandwich is BYMCVB - bread, then mayo, then meat, then cheese, then vegetable, then bread.

The purpose of mayo is so the sandwich is not dry. I have this moron that makes it like this BMVCYB you cant have mayo and cheese together, that is nasty. What does everyone else think, please, this is very important.

I use to have a recipe for lemon chicken that had lemon juice, lemon rinds, cooking sherry, thick dairy cream I believe. It was cooked with chicken breasts and then placed over egg noodles. I was just wondering if anyone had any recipes similar to this. I know theres more thats in it, thats all I can remember!

During a meeting at work, it was suggested that most wine consumers follow a similar path of wine explorations.

1)Start out drinking modest whites that have some residual sugars to them.
2)Stretching out into drier whites.
3)Sudden switch to big chewy reds, to the exclusion of whites.
4)Loving one varietal and then the next.
5) Developing a desire to know more about wines and wine production.
6)A slow shift back to finely crafted whites and more subtle reds.

Although this is very similar to my experiences, I can't believe that most people do the same. It's too patterned.
