Years ago (late 70s) the mother of a friend of mine made this REALLY GOOD sour dough Beer Bread that had to have a 'Culture' of some kind fermented for several days before becoming one of the ingredients for the bread...NO it didn't have to do with the one can of beer called for in the recipe. :| Once all the ingredients were together I THINK the bread had to sit and ferment an addition three or so days before baking in a "tube" bread "baker" in the oven.

Sadly, my friend and I lost touch before I could the that recipe for that particular Beer Bread.

10 points to the one who comes up with that particular recipe. :D

I've been doing this lately - like having popcorn or cereal. The cereal is fine and I sleep well from it, but the popcorn makes my tummy full and tends to make me sleep restlessly. What foods do you eat and what happens when you do?

I don't think I'm going to eat before bed anymore - it usually winds up being uncomfortable.

How is drinking tea before bed?

1. Is there any instances where someone who's on a vegan 'diet' who stays at the same weight or actually gains weight?

I'm asking this question because I'm curous since I'm starting a vegan diet if the 'you'll loose weight, no problem' thing is true. Im overweight at the moment and have been a vegetarian for a while and am ready to stop contributing to cruelty to animals finally. I just don't want to expect to loose weight while doing that if it's not true.

2. Will eating a lot of potatoes and/or rice NOT help you loose weight while being vegan?

I understand to loose weight you need exersize, ect. but I'm only talking about eating things with a lot of carbs, and if they will hurt you more when your trying to loose weight or if it dosn't really matter as much because your not eating any animals and animal biproducts.

Thanks so much in advance!

I know Le Creuset cookware is worth the high ticket price, but I have the opportunity to buy several pieces for more about half the price, but they are labeled "seconds". Obviously, they didn't meet some criteria in the making that puts these pieces in that category. Does anyone own any Le Creuset seconds? If so, please share your experience.

Thanks in advance!

I had always been a meat eater. I decided to become a vegetarian after my husband left for iraq. he's been back a few months and i'm wanting to slowly reintergrate meat back into my life. Has anyone done this and had ill effects from it?

we just had the deluxe version for supper... and i tell you... the crust was chewy and floury tasting... the toppings were very salty, there was way too much sauce and way too little cheese.... So what i want to know, is what is your opinion on Delissio Rising Crust Pizza!!!!
