I just had to throw my small chicken strips in the microwave for 3 minutes to finish thawing to make bbq chicken....but afterwards i rinsed them and when i smelled them, they just smelled a little bit. Im assuming that its okay since it IS raw chicken.....right?

A good friend of mine was just diagnosed with Diabetes. She has a wicked sweet tooth and I would like to make her something sweet and comforting that won't aggaravate the issue. I also wanted to include the recipe in a card to let her know that I was thinking about her - but with out making her feel bad...

Any suggestions for websites with recipes or a way to come across as caring and thoughtful - instead of rubbing the problem in her face? Thanks in advance!!!

When you get home after a hard day and there's no smell of cooking, does your heart sink when you know it's going to be bleeding salad again?

i make it in gallons but the powder is so fine it flies all over the place. lately, it's fruit punch so there's a pink film around my sink when i'm done making it. i mix it in a tupperware type container that has a lid that screws on. i'm just looking for tips on how to keep the powdered drink dust from flying.

I'm having an outdoor party, in August, and want an affordable way to keep the beers ice cold, but I'm worried that a large container of just ice will melt too quickly. Is it feasible to put a few blocks of dry ice on the bottom, cover with regular ice and then put in the drinks?? Anyone??

People refer to the Habenero peppers a lot when measuring spicy-ness. I had a sandwich once with chipotle spices in it and I had a hard time trying to finish it. I'm not sure if I've had Habanero before. On a rate of 1-10 (Habanero being 10) where would chipotle place? (I don't know if I spelled chipotle correctly)

I have heard that it means "thinly sliced". As in scalloped potatoes. Others have said that it means "with cream". As in scalloped corn.

I love beer can chicken!! You pour half the beer in the chiken to keep it moist and leave the other half in the can and stick the whole chicken on the can! You can also use pop as well, its so yummy!

Most of them have absolutely NOTHING to do with the beer at all. Take shampoo adverts for example: "Makes your hair shine and makes it smooth" - trying to sell you the shampoo, but beer adverts are just long, boring things that don't mention the beer until the very end. Even mobile phone adverts manage to get in "the phone has a camera, built-in microwave and MP3 player", but the beer adverts are just a waste of time. Same goes for the perfume adverts - they're just someone walking about in a strange place before the perfume bottle comes up.

Why are the adverts so stupid and annoying?

I just hate to waste it. I have eaten Fuji Apple and Pink Lady Apple cores but I tried the Granny Smith and nearly fainted. Now I am wondering if there may be something in the seeds that is bad.

My husband works 16 hour days and I pack his lunch for him. I'm runnin out of things to cook. he gets tired of Hamburger helper and chicken all the time lol. I need some recipe ideas that are NOT for small portions. He's a Marine & has a high metabolism and eats a lot it that helps. Something that takes under a hour to cook and doesn't require 119 different ingredients.

Not Real Ale brewing company. Real ale, like CAMRA (CAMpaign for Real Ale). Naturally carbonated, cellar temperature ale. Think England.
