You have to read the package to see if it says "fully cooked" or not. If you find it in the refrigerated section of your grocery store, it is may or may not be cooked. I know Oscar Mayer makes a fully cooked kind that is kept in the refrigerator. If it kept at room temperature, it is DEFINITELY cooked. Check the labeling. Most often though, bacon is not cooked.

No, it's cured with a little brine added. It still needs to be cooked after opening.

If it says "ready to serve" - then yes, it is cooked. Otherwise, it's not.
