The same thing will happen after a BIG meal. The body is processing calories. (Sometimes it is due to Tryptophan which is an amino acid, and found in many foods.)

Half and Half and Cream are higher in FAT content which is HIGH in calories. When it enters the stomach, the digestive system goes to work to break that down (and that requires additional blood flow). So the energy is focused on digesting and the rest of the body tends to slow down.
You body usually tries to use and store energy that is provided by eating or drinking. It is a normal process that happen.

nope, might give you a serious case of diarrhea if you drink to much but I'm not sure about it making you sleepy. It's a cream and its richer than regular milk.

Or milk for that matter. It supposedly has tryptophan (I think thats how its spelled) in it. Like turkey. Makes ya Zzzzzz.
