What do you do when your friend likes the same guy you like, and he tells you that he doesn't like her? My friend likes him but he doesn't like her. He flirts with me all the time. even told me that he loves me today. They don't even talk to eachother. He doesn't even know why she likes him.

His ex wife cheated on him for 3 years of their marriage and about 2 yrs ago they seperated. He did not date seriously anyone until I came along and we were a immediate click. Our first date was 11 hours long and we laughed and had fun all night. Our relationship was great up until about 2 weeks ago when he started shutting down emotionally. She found out we were together and started writing him emails again filling his heads with lies and he knows they are lies but he still is now confused and calls himself his own worst enemy. He now doesnt want this even though he has said he has been so happy and has been enjoying life and he loves me. How can I get him back to where we were before this happened.

She tells a guy that she cannot see anything more than a friendship right now after he has said his feelings and does not want more than a friendship at the moment. She then says she wants their friendship to get closer. Pretty soon she is flirting with him whenever she sees him. I am starting to think she likes me, and I have been flirting back. Her friends say she is not the type of girl to lead a guy on. Why the hell is she doing this??

it's been really confusing between this guy and me. anyway, basically i got mad at him one day and shouted a lot, and he phoned me that night saying that he was sorry and that we need to talk. we did, and had a heart to heart and he told me he liked me platonically, which was fine, and i understood. he said he didnt want to 'mix up the signals'. it's just he kept phoning me constantly that weekend, and everytime he sees me he makes a beeline for me. i'm so confused about him, because i really really love him, but i dont know what to do. a couple of friends are commenting on how close we are, and how they think he likes me but is afraid to admit it. truthfully i havent got a clue about it. any suggestions about what he is about or what i should do??

Im having some problems with my parents and my boyfriend. Im 25 now and we started dating when i was 20. its been off and on these years. the last that we had broken up we where living together. He had some issues that he is working on and wants to make things work out. He has said he was sorry for us breaking up a thousand times and really seams to be working in his problems. Anyway, my parents don't like him at all neither does my best friend and im having a hard time with this. it matters what they think but at the same time i dont care. weird i know. anyways is there some stories or advice that you could share to help me work some of this out. My boyfriend is always saying things to hurt me, but he says he doesn't intentionally mean to do it. For ex: this morning we got in an argument and he said, "People think im stupid for being with you." I took that the wrong way, but he says he didnt mean to say that. He does stuff like this all the time. His excuse is thats just the way I am, and I cant help it. I tell him all the time if you really love me you would stop saying those mean things to me, he says he will stop, but were back to the same crap again. He says that I should accept him for the way he is, but shouldn't he accept my feelings and how he is hurting me? What do you think?

BTW we been together for over 2 years, I would like to make this work between us.

i've been in a mostly online relationship with a man now for over a year. i knew he had some odd ways, but he kept telling me he wanted to change. he is 50 years old, and takes care of his father, they share a house, but he dont have any relationship with him. he goes to work and spends the rest of the time in his room with the door shut. he even eats in there his take out food. he refuses to encourage a better relationship with his kids because he has a hearing problem and they dont speak loudly enough for him to hear. he also refuses to get a hearing aid too. i confronted him about this a few days ago and he says i dont understand him, and that my emails are all full of crap. i didnt expect this to happen when i metioned he call his daughter who is out of state on valentines day and i also suggested he take his dad out to eat. he said he would be happy if he never went out again. i thought i knew him, he makes me feel so wonderful when we are together, but now i'm wondering do i stay

He has been lying to me, i found out when i read his passport that he is a 2 yrs older than he originally said. I never thought to question it because i figured that he was honest, i mean you just dont lie about that for four whole years!!!! we have been through so much, and it never occured to him once to fess up. Here's the scenario:

- me and this guy have been good good good friends for about 2-3 years now - he's had this "thing" for me for a while now and i've never really noticed
- we've finally come to this point that we feel mutual about each other and we're falling for one another
- from what his actions/gestures tell me (and others), he really cares and adores me
- he respects me, my independence and space. I'm a really independent-minded person and i'm really focused into school right now and so is he
- i think this is his first time being "serious" or getting somewhere with a girl - he's a shy guy

We can go 2 or 3 days without any communication - talking to each other, no little calls, texts, messages ,etc... i understand we're both the same way in terms of our priorities and we're both very independent but...the fact that we can't even talk a little each day scares me and is making me think he might not be interested? Is it cuz he doesn't know what to do? or he's too busy?
